The Disney Princess Wardrobe

Welcome to another edition of Wardrobe Attacker!

I went to one of my good friends house and while the men did work on the house downstairs we got right into her wardrobe.

Now this girl has a challenge to get the volume of clothes down to items that she can wear to work easily but still retain the cool items she has in her wardrobe.

We got to work pretty quickly and I quickly noticed that she had a lot of dresses. Now for her work dresses are perfect, with tights and a cardy look really sweet and work appropriate for the office. Plus she has some really cool patterned dresses, and the great thing about patterns is that it does the job for you, all you have to do is find a great belt to put around your waist to define it and then you are away!!

We also started sorting items into a holiday wardrobe. Over in the UK as it doesn’t get particularly hot people tend to go for the big summer holiday. People will specifically go out and get stuff for their holidays. Now some of this stuff might be alright to wear in the UK but most of it is purely for Spain and other hot countries (Hi NZ!). Sort your holiday only items into a pile (as we did) and hang it or fold it in another place.

As always, there is a pile of items to try on again. Here you can determine if you still like it, fit it, or want it. If you think you want to keep it, find three items in your wardrobe to wear it with and you’ll never go wrong. Also make sure there are no holes or damage to the clothing.

You can also do a gym/sunday chilling pile. This is good for your baggy t-shirts, trackies, and holey items if you are desperate to keep them.

We managed to get through a lot of clothes and at the end had a sizeable pile to throw away/donate. I recommend holding the items in your house for a week, looking through again and making sure that you want to donate them. This means that you will definitely know!

This wardrobe was very fun to do and thanks to my lady friend for participating!!

I’m 31 and I have a 90s obsession. (Toys)

Hi team!

So I wanted to write a blog on my love of 90’s/2000’s nostalgia toys.

I would like to preface with saying that I am a 31 year old woman who has managed stores, responsible for Health and Safety, and founded a brand, that I own the following things:

1x Furby (who is deaf, and came in a Furby backpack)

3x Jem and the Hologram dolls (Kimber, Pizzazz, and Jem)

2x My Little Ponies – one that came with a scent, and a Wedding pony.

1x Beast soft toy, who is my pride and joy

1x Hello Kitty Instax Camera

1x WWE Women’s Championship Belt

Multiple Sweet Valley High books

1x Barbie Mirror Phone Caase

So as you can see, I am a big fan of toys, and things like that from that era. I am a fan of cuteness and I love my space to be full of fun and cute things. I love making my friends laugh and roll their eyes with all the weird stuff I have, and I love that my niece and nephew are endlessly entertained by my toys and general craziness going on.

A lot of people are like this. They crave the gaming consoles that they used to play with when they were young, and talk about the TV shows they used to watch when they were children. Look at the 90s trend that is refusing to die. I am currently in love with everything coming out, and wearing everything from the 90s. I love it.

I also play games for relaxation, and two that I love is Disco Zoo, and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. They are cute adorable games initially meant for children, but the creators have been clever and made sure they audience base includes adults too. I am addicted to both these games as they are so cute and provide a bit of a challenge.

I also tried to play the Sonic the Hedgehog game that I used to be terrible at when i was a kid, and boy that brought back some memories! I am still just as terrible at it but I enjoyed the retroness of it.

So team, what do you collect? Make me jealous!!

Fashion in Movies Series – Never Been Kissed

Hi team, and welcome to the first in a series of Fashion in Movies – a look at the good and the bad in film. I feel I should be in a leather chair with a bookshelf behind me telling you this.

Aaaaaanyway, the first film I picked because I just saw it on Netflix is Never Been Kissed, starring Drew Barrymore and David Arquette. This is an amazing film and Drew is the best. Without further ado, lets get into it!

  1. Her dowdy look.

At the start of film Josie Grossie (too good a name) is in brown, almost setting us up for the  transformation to come later on (I love transformation films!) wearing some kind of culottes and just general unfashionableness but with a heart of gold.

2. The change up.

josie white.jpg

Dayum this is a strong look. Even for 1999, this is waaaay OTT. But the girl rocks it. Even if I am asking WHERE ARE YOUR EYEBROWS DREWWWWW

3. The flower top (that Phoebe wears in Friends, too cool

josie flower.jpg

This is a cuuuuuuute look guys. I wish this top was around. She looks adorable and the age she is trying to be undercover as. 10/10 – not even rating the outfits but this one deserves this rating!!

4. Prom – Pink Metallic

JUST LOOK PEOPLE. JUST LOOK.

Oh my god it is amazing and terrible. The detailing. The sleeves. The braces. All of it. Holy heckalula.

5. Prom – Rosslyn Costume.

So the theme was famous couples, and Josie went in this AMAZING dress. Nailed it.

6. Lets not forget these babes:

I am not up with the play on proms in America, but these are super weird costumes you guys. But whatever. They look like total babes even though in the film they hurt our Josie.

Honorable mention:

David Arquette. Not even going to post a picture. Just watch the film and bask in the glory that is David Arquette’s wardrobe. And weirdly it wasn’t too far off what he wore at the time.

Anywho this concludes my first blog on fashion in films, stay tuned for my next one!

What are some films you would like me to break down?

Fitness. Fitnass? Fitness.

Hi team.

So I’m talking about Fitness. Now I’m all ’bout fitness pizza in my mouth but I’ve recently discovered this thing called Fitness. Fitnass? Fitness.

Quite frankly, I am dead inside. I eat so much crap. I don’t think about portion control. I think I’m at a food eating contest normally. The fact I am alive is remarkable.

But through my anxiety and depression I have discovered exercise actually really really helps. Getting out for a walk, or a run, really makes you feel a lot better. So I got the gear. (More about fitness gear in a future blog). I went for a run along my road and back. I nearly died. But I did it! And I remembered that I am good at solo sporting things. Not team sporting things, as I get super competitive. But competing against myself, I can do. So I run and run and run. I take up Body Coach. I do Pilates. And I feel better! Much better.

The thing now is to start eating healthy. So in my bullet journal (again, in a future blog) I am tracking fruits and veges I eat each day, water drunk, when I eat bad food etc. It really is forcing me to think better about my food choices.

Now I want you know that this is not about vanity. I don’t want rock hard arms and manly pecs, like Chandler in Friends. I want the ticker to keep going and get stronger. Thats it. I’m on my feet all day walking up and down retail floors, which is all very well and fine, but its not doing the ticker any good. This way I can get some exercise, without have to go to cringey classes and set my own pace.

What are you doing to improve yo fitness so you can eat more pizza?

Review: Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Body Cream

Hi team!

So this weeks review is on the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula cream.

My skin is thirstier than a bae. For real. I have tried so many different brands but my skin vacumns them up and pretends they aren’t there. It was very annoying as I want a glow to my skin on my body (not my face, heaven forbid) but it’s really hard to find a product. I reached for the Palmers product as it claimed to do (of it’s many points)

  • provides 24hr moisture
  • softens and relives skin
  • smooths marks and scars
  • paraben free

So i opened it up, and it smells like cocoa, but very very faintly. It is fragrance free but obviously the cacao extract shines through.

It is light yellow, and is quite thick but goes into the skin with ease. It also gives you a sheen to the skin that is really nice and doesn’t feel too chemically. It is also a animal testing free, and is good for sensitive skin.

I would rate this one 8/10 – I would like it to be even more moisturising than it is, but then I’m greedy for some shine on my lacklustre skin.

Have you tried it? What did you think?
